The wordplay and rhymes in the first verse is not something anyone would come up with here. Most people (no offense) have trouble writing to a beat/don't count syllables, so for that alone I'd be impressed.
Even if you haven't heard the song, by reading the lyrics you can still/should still be able to picture the flow of the melody in your head. To me that (along with the actual lyrics of course) is very important. It's the only thing I'm good at too. My lyrics are basics but the melody is good.
So I'll be happy if it's received even above average.
