All I am really trying to say is that I will do the right thing and wait till the album drops to judge if it will be a commercial dud. Her Magnum Opus, rated r did not have any major smash hits but it was still her best album and sold a decent amount overall.

ARTPOP sold 2m when everyone was selling 3m+ a just 1m more and it's considered a MEGA flop and let's wait for R8 and see how it'll do and judging by the singles I don't think the future is bright.
When Rihanna didn't have a career in (2005, 2006 and 2015) she had a better cliamte than ARTPOP in 2005 and 2006 so her albums we're flops there as well.

Sorry rihannafan we're discussing music climates here and in that climate Rih was able to sell 8m+ and Gaga was able nearly double her sales.

In this climate Rih sold just a 1.6m.
