I've had my entry done for a day and a half but I don't feel like sending it yet. Like I'm 100% sure I'm not gonna change anything I just don't feel like it

You make me so mad "I have this flawless One Sweet Day wig snatcher but I'm not gonna send it in because lol"
Ohh! I prefer writing the bridge, it's usually my best part of the entire song and it's such a contrast it's different than the verses and usually pulls the whole song together and it's just so perfect askgkal.
My favorite parts of songs are usually bridges too.

I think bridges are probably my weakest part. Granted I've only written one bridge This song that I sent in today is only my second song ever

Team Bridge!
The reason I like it is because I feel like I can do anything with it--it doesn't need to match the verses/chorus rhythmically and most importantly, it's the last chance to bring in some new twist on the motif/theme running through the song. If I'm feeling really basic and I write a song with the same chords for the verses and chorus, I always change it up for the bridge. You get the chance to inject something new and interesting right before the final chorus!
Throwback to my acclaimed bridges from season 5 for Black Balloons and Bulldog
Quote:
Down another cup
Watch the years pile up
Waving my life goodbye
Watch my youth die
Better accept this life
As I watch the cement dry
Put up a good fight
Party all night
I know what I want
But don’t want what I know
Now my past can haunt
The future I had long ago
Quote:
Blindly I trudge on
Bullet stained and bruised
Clench the flag till dawn
I’ll die to save the truth
And if tonight I fall
A martyr I’ll live one
A killer for the cause
Human atomic bomb

Ugh yes, bridges give you freedom and it doesn't have to be as structured as the verses/chorus so you can do whatever you please. It's great.
