It's really not that bad though! They (the doctors) found out I was deaf very early on so I was quickly given hearing aids so I learned to talk/read/hear/etc. easily. I went to a deaf pre-school where I learned to lip-read then my parents wanted me to attend public school afterwards which I did and still do.
