Yeah, I usually write whatever comes to mind and form a concept that way. Song titles are very important to me in terms of creating a concept. If I don't think any lyrics fit I just cut them out and possibly save them for another song where they do fit. I'll typically stick with that one song unless I feel the direction it's going in isn't what I want.

Oh I see. Hmm lemme try to do that and come back in here a little.
ATRL isn't loading for me for some reason not sure if you guys are getting errors too
I'll be back

These are the choruses of some of my school's Eurovision lyrics, if anyone is interested:
Quote:
The exploitation of my feelings
Has led me to madness
The appalling conditions of my heart
Have left me breathless
So will you come rescue me?
Or will you leave me with my heart
Embroidered on the wall
|
Quote:
Guido
Is wearing a tuxedo
He's twerking with Piso
On the lido
Anita
Sips on a Margarita
She lookin' so bonita
Chiquita
|
Quote:
We are all friends
And our friendship never ends
Come on, and take my hand
Because we are all friends
Ooh, oh yeah
We are all friends!
(Friends pronounced as fr-ee-ends with a heavy Italian accent)
|
Quote:
Gimme that vitamin D
Come on and rescue me
I know you want it
So why won't you give it
Give it to meee!
(Y'all know what vitamin D is)
|
Most are in Italian tho.

Introduction
Name: TheCheetahwings, Cheetah, or just Kenny.
Platinum Hit Experience
None as a contestant, but I did support & help my friend MattyTacos (Platinum Hits Season 6 Winner ) & follow season 6 from start to finish, so I have a bit of an idea how it works. Really excited to finally get a chance to compete!
Songwriting Experience
I've been practicing writing songs for quite a while now, but used it mostly as a way to deal with things that were happening in my life & heartbreak (sound familiar? ). I find it very therapeutic so even when/if the song is horrible I usually feel better after writing. I've only ever shown my work to close friends, so I'm nervous but also really excited for the guidance/criticisms from the judges so I can hopefully improve!
Style
I don't really like to think of a specific "style" or "genre" when I'm writing a song. I usually just write what comes to me, or whatever I get stuck in my head and see what I can make out of it. So the style really depends on the song and emotion I'm going through when I write it.
Favorite Songwriters
Do I even have to say? Taylor Swift is definitely my biggest inspiration when it comes to songwriting. She's part of why I started songwriting in the first place. She's got a way of words like no other artist and always seems to know how to express an emotion or experience all while making a catchy & enjoyable song. Some of my other favorite songwriters: Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, Ed Sheeran, Madonna (well, some Madonna), Lorde, & more recently Shania Twain

Just finished my song
Gonna send it to a few people for advice first, though. It's been 9 months since season 5 ended and I haven't really had anyone judge my lyrics since then

200 songs
So many contestants of season 7 have huge back catalogues, so the competition is stiff

The challenge is at page 119. Other than that, a lot of contestants introduced themselves, so you could take a look at that or introduce yourself too if you want to

I wrote the chorus and I have a title/concept for my song already! Gonna tweak it and work on my verse!
How long does the verse have to be? 4,8,16?
