I'm YoungCalifornia and I've been writing songs since 2008 but currently recording songs right now. I wanna be a rapper and make a career in the music industry. I'm learning everything I can to succeed. I'm working on an EP and I have a single coming out later this year I decided to join PH to help myself with writer's block and challenge myself against other songwriter's like the King of Pop GotSkill I'm excited and hopefully I make it to the Top 10!

Anyway I think the next edition of this contest should be like the Eurovision. Like, the judges give 1 to 12 points to their favorite songs, and who gets the most points wins! This formula would need like 20 judges tho. If it ever happens, I'll def be a judge

I mean, all 3 would be my songs so since I wrote them and didn't leave them unfinished after the second lyric, I probably like them or at least don't hate them, so how would I choose?

The judges may not be here for cliches, and would want y'all to write something that's a little more unique. That's what I learned the hard way last year.
I'm sure you'll do well, so don't worry about it. Maybe tweek a couple cliche lines you have here and there to make it sound more fresh/unique sounding?
Nahh I definitely agree with you. Cliches are ok if they are done right but mine are atrocious. I'll show you it later lmao but the melody is good which is why I was considering using it. I'm just gonna scrap it altogether cuz I can't think of different lyrics to fit the tempo I had for the song.
I'm kind of pissed cuz you know when the melody just hits you and it flows? I had that going but couldn't think of the right words oh well! There's four days left so no worries

Yeah, I usually write whatever comes to mind and form a concept that way. Song titles are very important to me in terms of creating a concept. If I don't think any lyrics fit I just cut them out and possibly save them for another song where they do fit. I'll typically stick with that one song unless I feel the direction it's going in isn't what I want.
If I don't make it past the blind auditions, I'm going to be so ashamed.

That's my favourite part about my username - it has subtle meaning that resonates with me and my fave, but it's not overwhelming. For those that don't know I love Victoria, it's just a cute little username.
