No shade, but the only thing trap about Dark Horse sans the breakdown is the fact that the song has got so many believing that it is actual trap. Jewels N' Drugs serves more Trap than Dark Horse.

A viral video "that wasn't viral" yet it inspired enough parodies and sold consistently enough to go gold and stay in the top 20 whilst being a top 15 hit despite having no major televised performances (Grammys) or otherwise large promotion (the closest thing to that would be the 7/11 slurpie cups for summer at 7/11 now, months and months after the fact) compared to Dark Horse which was a promo single in the middle of a huge album campaign building off one of the artists biggest hits of her career (Roar) and near constant coverage of the release that then went on to get a huge budget music video and was released to radio in the dead zone of the year. It was destined to be a hit, but to say that a trap breakdown makes it a trap song or a better song, or to say that 7/11 should be expected to be a comparable hit as a trap song when compared to what Dark Horse behind it, is incredibly illogical

No because everyone knows that GaGa plays a much bigger role in the production of her RedOne songs than Katy in her Dr. Luke songs because RedOne's songs with other artists sound nothing like his GaGa songs whereas Dr. Luke uses the same sound for everyone

Yep it's a pop song, not trap. Born This Way (the album) is heavily influenced by other genres. It's still POP though. 'Katy's trap' doesn't exist.

You could've at least chosen a better comparison and not Gaga considering she CO-PRODUCES all of her tracks.

I like Dark Horse better than 7/11 though, so there's that.
