The situation is not like it was at the beginning of the PRISM era (Tity had never stomped over Godga & Taylord didn't declare war towards her).

Stans are a BIG part of music sales now-a-days. Almost nobody buys pop music (albums) unless they are fans.

No they're not. Arianators are one of the craziest stanbases and they can't get OLT to go Top 10. Same goes for Smilers and Adore You, even with the remix. Fans just don't have that kind of impact on the charts. Remember Marry The Night streaming week? Mess.

At the end of the day, non-stans outnumber stans tenfold, even more. The GP chooses what does well and what doesn't. No amount of Monster-Swiftie hybird hate allegiance is gonna stop Katy from seeing chart success, if the songs are destined to see chart success. Not here for Katy's next lead single to not go #1 because it's a boring song and everyone go "Monsters and Swifties their powa!"

Nicki was the only one who could actually be considering copying Gaga directly. Katy had subtle influences. Kesha didn't really borrow from Gaga at all, her trashy/party look was just confused as Gaga wannabe because it was "out there" and different, but if you look at her image and her music at the time it was cohesively different from Gaga's quirky and dance oriented sound and image. Whereas the odd looks didn't match Nicki's music, nor Katy's.
