Gary revealed that Fifth Harmony earned their second Top 40 hit with "Worth It" which moves #41 to #39. "Sledgehammer" previously peaked at #40.

SYA is gonna be way too strong.

They'll probably perform it somewhere soon. Radio is catching onto it quick and it's slowly but surely closing the gap with SYA on iTunes.
It might squeeze in a week or two at #1. It'll be a song of the summer

I always though You Need Me is her most aggressive song she's recorded, but I guess Someday can suppose.

How in the hell does the 50SOG Soundtrack drop from 6 to 17 on the Hits Daily Double Sales + Streaming Album Chart with only 21,002 units that factors in track sales and streams and downloads the same way Billboard does (17,342 of which are actual album sales), yet the same album climbs from 9 to 3 in BB with 47,000 units????? Something isn't right here,
The rest of the Top Five is much closer, though the order is different again that benefits 1989. On the HDD SDS Album chart, Furious 7 ST has #1 (108k), ATL FH #2 (73k), TS 1989 #3 (45k), M5 V #4 (43k), and K. Lamar's TPAB #5 (37k). So how 50SOG wound up so different between the two websites is beyond me.

HDD did a horrible mistake this week. LMLYD + EI pulls around 22k TEA units, it sold 17k pure album sales.. I feel HDD forgot about TEA for 50SOGS

SUAD won't have half the radio BL did So even if it was selling 250K a week it probably would only be number 2 on Billboard. Unfortunately alt influenced songs rarely hit the summit. It would only happen if there was no competition. Which there is right now. SYA is not going anywhere soon. I would love for WTM to hit number one, I've been a fan for several years.

People are saying SYA is slowing down? You guys realize it was only building it's lead last week, this week he started with the massive lead. He should easily sell 350K-450K still this week

Oh man. SYA is so corny and cringeworthy. I wanted Bruno to break Mariah's record.

Yea Kworb is predicting 399,000 this week
Streaming isn't budging, and airplay is skyrocketing.

It won't. SYA's holding strong in sales and its streaming is still quite strong. Any losses in points from sales or streaming will be slightly made up for by airplay.
UF!'s holding strong in all components (it probably still leads Sugar by two-thirds if not more) but it just doesn't punch anymore.

Blurred Lines didn't have that much airplay when it hit #1.
Quote:
The funky track spends a second week at No. 1 on Digital Songs, gaining by 38% to 315,000 downloads sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan, and reaches the top 10 on Radio Songs and Streaming Songs: it vaults 17-8 on the former chart (73 million all-format audience impressions, up 50%) and 24-8 on the latter (3.5 million U.S. streams, up 66%), according to Nielsen BDS.
|
And...
Quote:
Walk the Moon lands the Hot 100's lone new top 10 this week, as "Shut Up and Dance" rockets 12-9. The song charges 10-4 on Digital Songs (136,000, up 27 percent); hits the Radio Songs top 10 (11-9; 70 million, up 26 percent); and grows 43-26 on Streaming Songs (4.6 million, up 27 percent).
|
It only needs to have a strong sales advantage to snatch. In a few weeks, SYA (and UF!) will die down and SUAD will keep on accumulating points, so a timely promo will definitely make things line up for them.

Omg
Can't wait to see how this does in the long run. Should be an easy 3 million seller, possibly more if it catches on to other formats and AC formats

There is no chance about song of the summer. I honestly don't think it will be song of the summer. It will be big for May, But losing steam by june. Summer doesn't even start for over two months.the song is too old, it will be a newer song for a summer smash. It peaked on smaller formats already, considering it was big fall hit on Alternative and AAA.
I hope viral videos start soon so it picks up steam, cuz it's streaming isn't too strong right now. I am impressed with their sales. It makes.me so happy to see them succeed
