Wiz , that lead
I don't think Mark/Bruno will catch up, they usually fall in working days and Wiz still has that +60% lead over them.

It reminds me of the whole Tropical / Reggae / Island influence during 2003-2005 (Move Ya Body, Pon De Replay, Sean Paul, Baby Boy etc) though.

I think it's being poised to be Song of the Summer, especially with it going to radios so late in comparison to other similarly charting songs right now.
I see it pulling a Rude tbh.

The fact we were ready to let Mark snatch Mariah's record, and then Hooligans were ready to take it and Wiz said hol' up. Love him.
& Praise Mariallah had the nerve to come at me when I said he was partially bae months ago. Now I bet she loves him. I always knew there was something about him.

Something Mariah Carey fans probably would not want to hear: If "Uptown Funk" were to stay 20 weeks in the Top 2, chances are the way the rankings are weighted UF would pass OSD even if it had two fewer weeks at #1. 14 weeks at #1 and 20 weeks in the Top 2 would almost certainly move UF ahead of OSD's 16 weeks at #1 and 16 weeks in the Top 2. Just an observation, though I'm sure it won't be popular with some of the people on here. That might even move UF ahead of "The Twist", which some song really needs to do by 2018.

443,000? That's the highest since... Blank Space in December 2014 (503,000)?

We don't really care about the All Time chart. First WBT is higher than OSD on it, second it's not really that high on it, third the longest running #1 ever is the real prize everyone knows.
I Gotta Feeling for example also spent 14 weeks @ #1 and passed it on the All Time and the Mariah fans didn't really care — or notice for that matter.

Not really, it'll still sell 2 million in the end, and it's the third single from a massive album. There have been much worse examples of airplay-only hits. Like Calvin Harris this era.
And I'll never forget Orianthi's According To You.
