"Wannabe", without a doubt. I still hear it on the radio from time-to-time and people still sing it all the time. It's more remembered, more iconic, and has way more impact. "...Baby One More Time" was a big hit at the time, but it is the most overrated song EVER on ATRL. It's not as remembered as "Wannabe".

Well I hear ...Baby being played when I go to the mall, Starbucks shops, to a club, the radio of course... it's endless really. I hear it everywhere. And of course people always singing "Oh baby baby" and the whole chorus. The ICONIC VIDEO. The schoolgirl outfit with the ponytails... Halloween is filled with BOMTney doppelgängers. Britney's impact is REAL. I don't even hear wannabe. I actually forgot the song existed until now. I love it don't get me wrong. The Spice Girls were the first group that I stanned for and I was only like 3. But Baby is still more iconic.

"... Baby One More Time"
"Wannabe" was big, but it wasn't their revolutionary moment. Everything about BOMT had an impact that can still be felt today, and it goes beyond just recurring plays on the radio.

Wannabe be kind of paved the way for Baby. But baby is responsible for today's musical landscape as well as the one from the early 00s

Both were huge, but I feel Wannabe and especially the Spice Girls in their 2 years were like RULING the world. They had everything, from movies, to candies, to undies... I mean they were literally EVERYWHERE, and even though Brit has this major song, which also is known to probably most people on Earth, Wannabe feels more iconic.
But it's like comparing Purple Rain to Thriller or so.
