Bigger in the UK ≠ more global. Not to mention album sales were bigger when Spice was released.

Its hard to judge because Britney is still going hence her discography being reflected on more and why BOMT would be more remembered, but I have to go for Wannabe, I feel like both impacts were huge but Spice Girls edged it with that one.

I put spice girls because if you put wannabe alone it obviously gives out other results. You still ignored the rest of my post. Did you even look at all the places BOMT peaked at 1? And how much it sold?

Also, I would like to include that one of the things that makes BOMT more impactful than Wannabe is that thanks to it, Britney's career launched and her second album opened with the highest first week sales by a female artist to date. What happened to the spice girls after the spice album?

"Wannabe", without a doubt. I still hear it on the radio from time-to-time and people still sing it all the time. It's more remembered, more iconic, and has way more impact. "...Baby One More Time" was a big hit at the time, but it is the most overrated song EVER on ATRL. It's not as remembered as "Wannabe".
