The tournament may be drawing to a close, but the match-ups aren't necessarily getting more competitive—the Elite Eight was a breeze for our four division winners. #9 "Toxic" clobbered #10 "The Pleasure Principle," while #10 "Vogue" kept #1 "Ray of Light" nearly scoreless. #1 "Bad Romance" and #10 "...Baby One More Time" received almost twice as many votes as #11 "Work It" and #1 "Girls Just Want to Have Fun," respectively.

Dead. I know. It's interesting how a video can barely eke through one round and dominate the next.

(A thought experiment: What if everyone got more than vote per match-up? You could throw them all toward one video, or split them if you like both. Would the results be more competitive?)

Anyway, I really do think this round is going to be good! Britney on Britney and Madonna vs. Gaga. You can't get more ATRL than that.

It would definitely shake up preliminary rounds where there are multiple videos to vote for, but I think one-on-one rounds would essentially end up the same way given most would probably throw all their support towards one or the other. However, if people were to remain unbiased in how to leverage their votes and had to throw at least one vote to both videos, it could definitely make for some interesting, closer match-ups between videos rather than the utter domination we've had in some rounds, like the last one.

It'd definitely be an interesting approach to take with something like this tho
