I found them to be off too. I felt like he got the ARTPOP Single Sales from a different outdated source.

Hey Gary, since we just celebrated Lady Gaga's 29th birthday (March 28), could you please provide an update of her sales to celebrate, besides her birthday, her chart success, so we can continue to give her deserved … ''applause."

Thanks,

Frederick Contreras
San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic

Hey @gthot20! Any idea the current sales update for "Just Dance"? Has it passed 7 million downloads, making her the first to earn that honor twice?

@hausofezra

Hi Frederick, @hausofezra and Little Monsters everywhere,

Gaga had a great birthday. "Thanku to so many fans and people all over the world for the beautiful birthday wishes!," she posted on Twitter on her special day. "Please don't send me any gifts, your love is enough!"

Not true at all. Here is the latest stats we had for Applause and DWUW on April 3, 2014:

32 148 156 138 LADY GAGA APPLAUSE 11,675 +17% 10,015 2,429,521
22 192 120 152 LADY GAGA FEAT. R. KELLY DO WHAT U WANT 10,587 -24% 13,855 1,131,471
165 LADY GAGA G.U.Y. 9,616 +261% 2,663 30,806

They were selling just over 10k per week. And on January 22, 2015, Applause was already selling less than 30k:
26 LADY GAGA FEAT. R. KELLY DO WHAT U WANT 63,190 -9 69,441 916,558
65 LADY GAGA APPLAUSE 29,909 -23 38,830 2,257,478

So sales of her pre-ARTPOP songs increased by 3.224% on average since August 23 2013

Oh btw, that same old article says:

	Quote:

				First, digital song sales:
Lady Gaga: 46,322,000

		 |

This includes the first week sales of Applause, so sales of her pre-ARTPOP era songs at that time: 46,322,000 - 218,000 = 46,104,000

Assuming her pre-ARTPOP catalog as a whole increased 3.224% since August 23 2013, that'd be 47,590,509 sales now

+ 2.58 million, "Applause"
+ 1.22 million, "Do What You Want" (feat. R. Kelly)

= ~51.39M single sales

Doesn't include Dope, Venus, G.U.Y and other ARTPOP album tracks tho

What are you talking about ? This week is already counted in Billboard number...
An official number is an official number and Applause has sold 2.580.000 copies in total since its release, not 2.65M.

Billboard confirmed she was at 46.3M total track sales before Applause was released ( http://www.billboard.com/articles/co...y-or-lady-gaga). Applause + DWUW alone put her past 50M.

You guys... going top 300 for 3 or 4 days is only doing like 2k or so. Then it drops way out of the top 1500 the instant after a Voice performance or discount ends.

You & I actually ended it's initial chart run around 1.7-8 million. The fact that it's sold another 500k+ since then is really impressive for what that song was. The US loves it and she's right to always be discounting it since people like it a lot. She sabotaged the hell out of it with that Jo performance. A DWUW (alan carr) piano sit down at the VMAs with some quick choreo like on jonathan ross for a flashy finish would've made that song a top 5 smash.

Why doesn't Nielsen just post all the numbers for everyone to see?? It's so stupid that they keep it hidden I don't understand...Spotify has their numbers right by each song, radio numbers are available everywhere ?? What's up with sales. They're kind of the most important and useful to see popularity strength.

Nielsen receipts are not available for free, that's why everyone can't see them... Some subscribers have access to them I think... But I agree, I don't understand too...
