I noticed the same thing. FFS is hanging on at #7, while BBHMM has fallen to #12. So the general public is happy to have Rihanna back, but only a smaller segment is enthusiastic about BBHMM. I don't know if the latter will recover later this week or not. I felt certain BBHMM would get a boost from her Final Four performance last night, but it's done just the opposite.

Sis, SNL didn't even help her that much. She was at 62 before SNL.. the show isn't her demographic plus the show is not doing well this season.

She has less than 2 million audience on the radio, so this is doing great. Nate Ruess is getting SO much airplay (currently 6 spots more than her on mediabase) and he's falling on iTunes (currently #150)

I think that was his point.

But whatever. There's really no need to "defend" the song's performance in here. Either he's right and the song is going to flop or we are and he'll be eating crow soon enough. It's doing well enough in at least one major market to lead me to believe this song does have hit potential, so I won't worry too much about its sales numbers for now, particularly when that's currently the least of our concerns (radio is currently holding her back the most).

I think it will, at the very least, stay within the top 3. He has a performance lined up this Wednesday on The Voice. This is the type of song that resonates well with their viewers.
