Effing slayed. Sometimes the producer deserves awards like "song/record of the year", not the bitch that wrote over it. Producing is usually way more substantial/skilled than singing/writing, unless we're talking about basic songs like anything from TF/M.

Yet TF/TFM outsold Fridge's discography , lol your so mad.
By being released in a year when songs like Irreplaceable, Makes Me Wonder, Girlfriend, Umbrella, Hey There Delilah, and No One were #1 hits. The industry still wasn't out of the pop/rock and R&B trends that dominated in the middle of the decade. Yet Britney's album featured daring production. It is mostly in part to Danja and Bloodshy & Avant, but the album is obviously ahead of its time as far as mainstream pop is concerned. Just listen to the production on Gimme More, Piece of Me, and Freakshow (especially this one!). Britney had already dominated the electropop/dance-pop trend before it was even a thing.

Let me introduce you to a 2006 song you may not have heard of

The R&B influence is strong on this one... Doesn't count!
This is basic compared to some songs on Blackout, though. And it's not like the trend really started until Kesha and Gaga blew up around 2008/2009 with the help of Dr. Luke and RedOne. Obviously Danja and Timbaland were able to sneak a few dance-pop hits in before radio became totally saturated with dance-pop.
