OMG I had a huge case of the THROWBACKS this week

You would think because Will Young cameback, the week would all be about him...NOPE.
First of all a lot of re-entries had to deal with trying to make a new "80's CD" since my previous 80's throwback CD didn't work anymore after 4 years strong

With that I made a CD and then embraced about 3 songs released in that time period. This week, it was
Africa by Toto (idk about the fascination with Africa, each time I listened to this track with a great band instrumental, I was trying to figure out the song),
Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) by Eurythmics (Annie Lennox

), and
Take On Me (back in the top 10 since FTM went #1 pretty much

).
Now as for the
Macarena topping the countdown.......well idk it just sounded so edgy this week and I could not STOP playing it
it lead to creating this thread too. Truly I did not do the macarena everytime I heard the song...but still love it.
Now in my opinion, I would have thought Will Young's
Love Revolution would have debuted at #1 since Luke did a month ago with
Games (it drops out of the top 10

) , but #3 for a current song is pretty good looking forward as these other recurrents songs will only be here for a few weeks possibly, so its not a big deal Love Revolution debuted at #3....for now.
In its 23rd week,
Shotgun Rider by Tim McGraw has been squeezed out of the top 5

too bad it hasn't been able to go recurrent yet

its April already and it started on the countdown at #1 in late October

7 months in a higher sense
If You Ain't Here To Party by Luke Bryan, last week's buzz track, has really slayed me into possibly becoming my "going out" song. What a great song to get ready to party!
As for the other songs in the top 10,
This Love Will Survive and
Safe And Sound, my strong recurrent songs, stick to the top 10 at #10 and #7 respectively. Also
Geronimo by Sheppard stays strong at #5.
Oddly enough, I see only 4 "current" songs in my top 10 this week (Will/Sheppard/Tim/Luke) and the others are mostly older classics. This week was truly the week of recurrents taking over the chart...which happens from time to time!
Other then that, I'll just let the chart show off where the older top 10 songs landed!
