And?
The US are part of the world, and part of their careers.
28M with 5 albums VS 10M with 7 albums tho.
1989 sales outside the US: 2,169,000. In 5 months. In 2015.

poor her
@idkher
Diamonds World Tour 1,627,935 / 1,633,625 (99.7%) $140,118,252
Red World Tour 1,702,933 / 1,702,933 $150,184,971
you can slice it up any way you like, as many time's you like but in the end Taylor's pie is bigger

She destroys Rih WW album sales with only 5 albums, her tours are waaaay bigger, sold more singles in the US, is bigger than Rih everywhere except in Europe (although Tay is huge in the UK now, the biggest Eu market), and has a ton of records.
And the fact that Taylor has 3,5 albums which are country and just keeps getting bigger and bigger.
1989's sales outside the US already surpassed Unapologetic's. By the next era, the answer will be even more clearer.
|
So many lies where do I start. Taylor "the touring force" even though The Red Tour only outgrossed DWT by $8m Their touring stats are almost exactly equal.
Rihanna has sold literally millions of more singles in the US than Taylor and Rih is bigger in every continent except for NA and Oceania. Taylor might be having a decent-sized era in the UK (even though it has yet to scan 2xp there) but Rihanna completely EMBARRASSES her throughout the entire continent. 1989 hasn't even outsold Rated R (maybe even A Girl Like Me) in any European country.
Una sold 2.6m outside of the US, 1989 has only sold 2.1m outside of the US. Anything else?

Lol her country albums are the reason she became such a big US album seller in the first place, aka the only thing Taylor stans can even brag about

Yes the USA is part of the world but its one country, so yes technically taylor has a slight, a very slight lead remove the usa and rihanna destroys taylor.

But 1989 already has like 9M WW shipments, she's so going to surpass Unapologetic's sales outside the US.
And once again, she completely destroys her with the US.
And 1989 Tour is going to be so huge.
Let's see how R8 will do.

Not Rihanna grossing more than this from Asia, with just two dates, what a force indeed

Mess @ comparing those full-on country albums to Taylor's first 3 albums which were heavily catered to both country and pop audiences. Crossover albums always sell massive amounts, e.g. the 7x platinum Some Hearts which Taylor has yet to outsell

I forgot to incorporate the fact the 1989 tickets are way more expensive than Red ones were with the diamond ruby, sapphire packages and such
she's def doing 10M+

Refer to the post above, where Rihanna grossed more in Asia with less than half the dates
