I think it showed how little entegrity the lady gaga camp has. I think most stars would have made sure Amazon didn't do it.

But I think it's fair to list the normal sales and the albums sold at $.99. She didn't sell the full amount at a normal price to the consumers.

yeah, too bad gaga's camp had nothing to do with it. Amazon used the album to promote a storage thingy. Interscope / Gaga had nothing to do with that and were paid full price by Amazon.

And there are a LOT of artists that had their albums sold for .99 on various stores. Don't.

Most of those were more expensive than BTW the whole album, it's not even comparable. She used 30 cent discounts not whole price discount. I don't get why you'd get Katy in a thread about Gaga though

People bought the album, that shows consumer intent. Nobody runs around screaming about x album selling more copies for $9.99 than another album at $14.99. Granted 99 cents is a different ballpark, but people wanted the album and it was put within her reach. Regardless, she was going to do massive numbers in her first week anyways.

We don't know for sure how many people bought it JUST because it was .99$ so we'll never know.

Maybe they all would've paid full price. Maybe not.

The thing is the album opened with first week sales of 1.1M
