It is illogical because it suggests that doing anything more than tweeting about a song is "extensive" promotion. Suggesting that there's some artistic integrity or honour in harming her own chances of success by 1. Not promoting the music, and 2. Keeping it off spotify (the two reasons this entire discussion started IN THE FIRST PLACE) is what is illogical. No one is asking her to run everywhere promoting every song. Don't be silly.

Ok you misunderstood me. I am not saying that anything besides a tweet is extensive. I was more so talking about those who are moaning that Rihanna didn't do more even though the song got the video, performance, and on Spotify all within TWO weeks of being released. I mean It doesn't get bigger than Grammy's promo tbh. And Rihanna has never really released her songs on a day where the song would get a FULL week if you look back at her previous lead singles. And while I'm not a Tidal fan or anything It's clear she doesn't like what Spotify is doing to the Industry the very job she works so hard at. Why should she be PRESSED about Spotify for a Number One song if she won't truly benefit from it. You guys aren't seeing this from HER perspective. She knows most of her fans BUY her music anyway which is what TRULY matters at the end of the day

from my perspective, the only thing i dislike about this era (and UNA as well) is her stance on spotify. idk why she won't embrace it because streaming is literally the future of music. mark my words, artists who choose not to engage with spotify will be on the wrong side of history.

i don't mind the lack of performances, but i think it would make more sense if she promoted in multiple regions rather than having one US performance carry the whole song.

i'm glad they seem to have an organized plan this era and i appreciate the strides they've made. i just don't and will never understand being anti-spotify in 2015.

The thing I don't understand is artists such as J Cole, Usher and Nicki released their songs and albums right in time on Spotify without waiting a month (FFS) or a whole year (Unapologetic).

are you ****ing serious? NO where did I mention i want generic pop music. Just because they promote more than Rih, doesn't make them only care about money.

I never asked for her to go on every show to promote. Ellen, Jimmy Kimmel, SNL = every show? NO. She did more than that with Diamonds. It's not 'basic' promoting.
