Incorrect. That would be the card lambs used if that did happen (it won't). The record is 16 weeks at #1, period.
Do you not understand what a record is? In order to beat a record you must exceed the record previously held. 17 comes after 16. If Uptown Funk makes it to 16 weeks then it has TIED the record, not beat it. The concept shouldn't be that difficult to understand, even for a Britney stan.

You kissed the point bro. He's just saying even if Bruno doesn't do it consecutively, they'll still have the record, and that the lambs would probably still brag that Mariah did 16 consecutively as some form of consolation

ah I see. Yes, if Mark goes back to number one after falling down a spot or two he would still hold the record for most weeks at number one. Apologies.
Just hoping UF management team won't release the remix or discount UF that same week. Or else we're dead!
You know the label Uptown Funk is on has a plan to counteract Maroon 5's effort to take over #1. This might be when they finally release the Trinidad remix for download sales and streaming to Spotify and everyone else. And, since they have done this with Mars before, they might cut the price to 69 cents for a few weeks too. As much money as this song has brought in, lowering the price to break a record will help them in the long run.
one sweet day sucks...i wouldn't mind it uf beats it. It's just so good.

Stay away from anything regarding raw natural talent because neither of you have ever witnessed anything resembling it in your entire presumably broke busted bottom twink life!!

Didn't your fave fail to graduate from highschool, and isn't she currently taking math lessons to help her son with elementary math? Don't try and shade the queen when your fave stays confused on long division

"One Sweet Day" was a great song, and people should not ridicule the magnificent single just because it came out before their time. OSD was #1 for 16 straight weeks. However, since we are on the subject, "We Belong Together," Mariah's longest running #1 solo hit, actually had a break in the middle of its stay at the top. Carrie Underwood's "Inside Your Heaven" bumped WBT down to #2 for one week, then WBT moved back to #1 and IYH dropped to #3. So, if we start talking about consecutive v. non-consecutive, it also affects Mariah's WBT.

But you're forgiven, Lamb.
Classy. It's a shame they didn't academically accelerate your grammar. Didn't your fave just go back to school to learn math though?
However, I am kind of pulling for "Uptown Funk" to now have an 18 week stay at #1, with a 32 to 36 week stay in the Top Ten, and well over a year in the Top 40. I am not doing this to pull against Mariah. I am hoping for this so Billboard has no choice but to choose a current single over "The Twist" as their #1 Song Of All Time.
