Firework isn't even that good lol. It's one of my least favourite Katy singles.
For what it's worth tho, that's one of the only songs (that I know of) where each of the co-writers has independently commented on Katy's involvement in the song and made it very clear that Katy was the lead on that song. Even Ester Dean, who usually writes songs by herself for artists like Rihanna and Nicki Minaj, said that she had to take the backseat and let Katy lead her.
