The problem with the album version of Speechless is how robotic it is. The obvious pitch correction on the vocals piss me off so much

I like it. And as noted, the emotion is more apparent and it works well.

It's always funny to me how, from 2009 to now, Teeth has always been seen as just kinda...there on TFM. Poor it. Never really respected or given the time of day. It's not even bad, just completely ignored.
