I kinda want to make a Bandcamp artist account and sell my original music but then also I'd need to hook it up to my Paypal and my mom is weird and checks my debit card really often and she wouldn't approve of me selling my music. What do y'all think, I wouldn't expect anything to actually buy it but it would be cool. I could also just offer everything for free.

I mean. You could just connect it to your PayPal and then just not send the money to your bank account. You could just leave whatever you make on your PayPal balance so it doesn't show up on your bank statement and just save the money for when you want to buy stuff online or whatever.

I honestly am horrible with finances I don't understand anything. So my Paypal doesn't show up on anything else even if it's connected to my debit card? (I mean tbh if I put a reasonable price on my music no one's going to buy it cuz it's not really professional quality.)

As long as you don't spend more than what you have on your PayPal balance, in which case PayPal will deduct the remainder from your bank account, you should be fine.

Okay I think what I'll do is just make an account and offer whatever I upload for free. I really doubt anyone would pay money for my music and I want to do it more just to have a page and stuff cuz I think it'd be interesting. It's not a career thing, it's just a hobby.

I literally just made a Paypal to buy music on Bandcamp, I never put money on it I just connected it to my debit card, so technically I think there's no money on it(?).

There shouldn't be, although iirc PayPal is v limiting in what it lets you do with an account that doesn't have either a verified bank account or card linked to it. You might not be able to receive/spend money on there until you connect your bank account to it (maybe, idr offhand)
