PSY is topping Chinese music charts with his Chinese version of “Father.”
“Father” was exclusively released on March 26 via the music site of China’s largest portal QQ, which boasts 800 million users. The track has topped QQ’s popularity chart for two days straight since its release.
The QQ popularity chart is ranked based on the variation of streams from week to week, and as of 11 a.m. (KST) on March 28, PSY’s “Father” was streamed a total of 1,872,566 times.
For the first 24 hours of its release, the streaming numbers for the song were skyrocketing at 92 percent, averaging out to 61 percent by the second day.
