I like the tesseract. That was probably what most people disliked about the movie but I thought it was fascinating and interesting - I would have found a better way to distinguish the "them" and/or "others" they reference though, I think that was too confusing or out there for people. There were so many ways the film could have ended too - I myself really think it should have ended when McConaughey ejects from the ship in the deep depths of space and it ends with that triumphant shot of the rays of Saturn reflecting in his helmet while the organ plays its last note. But the tesseract was also my favorite part of the movie sooo LOL I can't say.

The whole concept around it is so crazy and fascinating, I was confused and yet amazed at what I was seeing. The first time I watched it I also thought the movie should have ended with that shot you mentioned of the rays of Saturn reflecting in his helmet, that would have been such an unbelievable ending. Those final 10 minutes didn't quite do it for me the first time, it felt like a totally different film. But I've come to appreciate it, and see the optimism in it. That's the whole point of the movie, really - of what we've accomplished and what we can achieve. It's crazy good.

Not really though - J. Nolan said that the tesseract closed and Cooper would never be able to reach Brand. I was so mad when I read that. I am going to pretend that he did not say that lol.
