Gaga is going to be the biggest name of the season. That is why Ryan hired her, and why her reveal was dropped as such a surprise. She's going to be the name holding up the season, even though she has no acting experience.
The fact that you don't see a problem with that is extremely alarming. The world of acting does not rely on stuff you can't see. They don't hire because they think you have potential. Not in a big role, at least. Gaga has no serious acting experience, and here she is being forced into a 13-episode season with a big reputation (even if it's tanked after the last season).
It's not a good impression, but it can change if she's good. Ryan's a stupid ******.

I agree. So far none of the official cast members have an Oscar nomination let alone an Oscar win. I can't see Ryan starting the season without someone at least received a few Oscar nominations. That's why I still have hope for Michelle Pfeiffer tbh. Or someone like Anjelica Huston, she is yet to win an Emmy and her brother was in two seasons of AHS.
I got excited from the title when it mentioned Frances but now I'm super disappointed I love her.

Ryan has connections through the wazoo. Regardless of how Freakshow did, he's still highly esteemed and can snatch successful actors if he puts in the effort.
Frances is literally the only reason I started watching the series and even though I did grow to like it, her characters are always the best part about it for me.
This and the fact that Gaga will be in it is a definitely NO for me, I hope it's a great series and you guys do enjoy it though.

I think you didn't get my point, what I meant was someone who's proven themselves in the past and have awards recognition will join the cast, Gaga won't be the only actress/recognizable name in the cast.
