Those electronic influences were not being matched by anyone, lol. Also her rapping was pretty funny/cool I thought Seems to be an unpopular opinion though.

HC was trend pandering but COADF was also ahead of its time and one of her most influential albums (see: sudden rise in electropop very quickly following 05/06).
I think Hard Candy would've been better received with a more tasteful marketing/title/cover
That cover alone..
Most scarring moment of my life = stank face I got from the cashier when I handed him the Hard Candy CD with Madonna's legs wide open. Lord. Think I started buying digitally after that for a while.
