It's not like she's saying they didn't write the song. You know, there are artists who actually use GHOSTWRITERS that aren't never credited and paid under the table. Beyoncé doesn't do that. She's there in the studio with the writers. Like Makeba said, working with Beyoncé is like having "girl talk". She gets a credit because the writers/producers feel like she contributed enough and inspired the song enough to deserve one, not because she "stole" it like some suggest.

Eh I just witness this everyday as a programmer, seeing a QA admiting that my (8 days worth of ) code is flaw free and then asking me to change a word from "Accepted" to "Received" so that when she makes presentations she'd go, we both worked on this. It's similar when you think of Bey back then saying "Ladies I wrote Irreplaceable for you". Again, I'm not saying she deserves the hate because she does write some stuff, but some of these are blatantly unnecessary.

Although I hate the stupid shade Beyoncé gets for using writers (I don't see that ever levelled at Barbra Streisand, Diana Ross, Tina Turner or anyone else how is legendary but uses songs given to them), I would love for her to release an album completely written by herself.
For one, I'd like to know what is coming from her directly to us, and secondly it would obviously shut some people up. Though it'd have to be really great or it would backfire hah. It would good though. She wouldn't release trash just for the sake of it.
As this relates to the Beck situation, a song is not better for being written by one person. That just doesn't make sense. It may be a more impressive for the artist's sake, but the art doesn't change, just the process.

Beyoncé is a true artist that believes in collaboration. thats what sets her apart from many of her colleagues. The songs, the videos, all grew from an incredibly organic and creative process, and are therefore stronger artistically, because they are not just the sum of one person. End discussion.

.
Honestly, I just want one song. Just one, she could take an entire year to write it, but just a simple song on her next album to show everyone that she can in fact write a song. It could be as simple as Stop Sign. Just the fact that it'll be only her name on the writing credits and we won't have to wonder if she contributed an "ohh" or an "ahh".

Ya that works. A whole album is a lot for someone as involved in so many different things as she is.

There's nothing wrong with help, not everyone can do everything. She focused on her voice not on writing elementary lyrics like some of her popstar peers. As long as she's involved whether that's adding a word, looking it over and green lighting it, or brainstorming with the writers I'm good.

Bey is not running around saying "I wrote this" and "I wrote that" so to come at her for blatant lies is basically diminishing everything she does do to add to a song and make it better, whether it be a couple of words changed, a harmony, an arrangement, adding an instrument, adding a bridge, etc. This **** is getting old. Bey is not going in the studio and just letting these producers write and tell her how to sing. Move on. Or stay mad. Whatever.

@Writing Discussion: Since when are pop stars supposed to write themselves? I mean cmon, at the end of the day she is a POP star, not an indie artist. Shes releasing POP(ular) music that is supposed to appeal to the broad mass whereas Becks music is totally genre-specific.

I don't want her to write. I think the creative jam sessions work well and create better music than if she were to pen it herself.
