A mess. Just a mess. This entire thread is a mess.

you don't know with 100% certainty anything about this article. like lol you people take the Internet for such face value it's ridiculous, you have no skepticism and are just willing to accept anything that is presented in front of your faces as long as it dislikes the same things you dislike or falls in some other parallel accordance with your person
you don't know when B'Day really started production, you don't know how many versions of this demo there are, you don't know Beyoncé's actual involvement in the song; you actually don't know anything you can only just speculate... but then everyone runs up and down this thread, taking a mile out of an inch dragging her for 'her fake pregnancy', 'skin bleaching', 'lies about everything'.. it's just funny. It speaks volumes more about how YOU ALL feel about Beyoncé than it does of Beyoncé's character at all (which none of you know just fyi)

I mean, READ US, Dr. Phil!
This literally happens to every popstar in some way, shape, or form. Don't be mad that Beyoncé is not exempt.

This is really the only issue people should have. The people who sit in recording studios and write songs are what make up the backbone of all of our fave's careers. Without them, our faves are nothing. For Beyonce to buy their credits, which again takes away from the writers/people who deserve it, when she doesn't even need the extra money, is greedy and selfish. It also goes to show her complete lack of integrity when it comes to her own music. There's nothing wrong with just being like, "nah, I didn't write it, but I did record and and I love it".

Yes, and the Amy Winehouse Foundation thanks her for her contribution. Amy did not earn 3 million since her death alone.
1.5 million of that was reported in 2014, what year did Bey cover her song, 2013? Again, thanks Bey.

her voice, her dancing, her dynamo, her classics, her legacy, her career is still above any of the 90s-now generation
plus she wrote Independent Women ----> 11 weeks @ #1 and she did make some arrangements on Déjà VU.
13 pages of pressedness tbh. don't you stupidness think that she would have been poorer than that if she bought all her albums credits??? like you don't even use your brain. this demo ain't even certified.

There is nothing to speculate, there is a demo that sounds exactly like the finished song in which for some reason Bey has a main writer credit, the evidence is right there! Stop constantly changing the argument to defend Bey, its just desperate and delusional.

MTV: Beyoncé, you produced and wrote almost every single track on the album. Why did you decide to do that?
Beyoncé: I wrote and produced "Independent Women [Part 1]" and "Jumpin', Jumpin'." Then I did "Survivor" and "Bootylicious" and the label loved it. [Same with] "Nasty Girl," "Emotions," "Happy Face," and "Apple Pie a la Mode." The label kept saying, "Do another song, do another song, do another song." It wasn't planned. It wasn't something like I said, "OK, I'm going to take charge."

A controversy arose over the writing credits on "Irreplaceable". Ne-Yo told MTV: "Apparently Beyoncé was at a show somewhere and right before the song came on she said, 'I wrote this for all my ladies' and then the song came on ... The song is a co-write. I wrote the lyrics, I wrote all the lyrics. Beyoncé helped me with the melodies and the harmonies and the vocal arrangement and that makes it a co-write. Meaning my contribution and her contribution made that song what it is."

Even Lady Gaga, who writes her own material, was TOLD how to sing. Amy Winehouse was TOLD how to talk. Wouldn't be surprised if most of the pop girls during 2009-2011 were TOLD to be more fashionable and eccentric because it was "cool".

It's Mathew's greed that made him come up with the idea of getting credits for Destiny's Child and Beyonce, but it's also because he is a shrewd ruthless businessman and wanted them to see the enjoy the fruits of their labour as recording artists who buss their a** to promote a record. The label wants a cut from everything. The artist pays for everything, if the label spend 500k on a video, that has to be paid back, then you have the writers, producers and everyone else cashing in before you.
Mathew some how found a way around it and I think it was smart. As long as writers are willing to sell their songs, why not? Change two words and get credit. Where's the problem?
