That is great, but I think this might be a misnomer because the population is small. I'll give you an extreme example.
Let us assume that there are only two people living on an island and they both like Taylor Swift. Then knowing this. 1989 could be the #1 album on that island for eternity and we would all think that Taylor is the Queen of the island. This would be true, but the population made it more possible. It could even work the other way. Maybe these two people only liked Justin Bieber and we would all wonder why Taylor was not successful there, but again, the population size might be the difference. I don't know, I am just pointing that fact out. What is more startling is that 1989 is still #4 in the United States, which has a greater population and diverse group of people with differing musical tastes.
