[thoughts on to pimp a butterfly] Kendrick's new album isn't all that to me right now, but I can that it is conceptually brilliant and produced well. There are good songs, there are actually amazing songs, but there's also a few duds. Obviously the new songs take a little longer to digest than GKMC, but to me the latter destroys the former in terms of hooks and even lyrics. But Kendrick being current and now and at least releasing something intelligent makes me root for him so that he does have mass appeal, because his stuff is thought-provoking and experimental (though I do believe he bit on Fly-Lo's style a bit too much). But yes, he has all my support with this new album and I hope the songs grow on me more.
