As someone who is actually from the black community and not some Frenchmen who have no idea what he's talking about, the real vs. fake hair thing stems from the idea that wearing your real hair means that you have self-love and those who wear weaves and tracks are trying to have hair or look like white European women.

Black women aren't the only ones who wear weaves? Everyone (except maybe Asian women) wear weaves.
And maybe it's not about 'trying to look like white European women' (LMAO as if anyone would get white people's hair in a weave) but the fact that weaves are easier to maintain and are a protective style? Constantly pulling at your scalp and braiding and dying and heat styling your hair is extremely damaging and can't be maintained in the long term.
Coming for black women who haven't done anything to you personally is self loathing full stop.
