Well we haven't heard the album yet but judging by FFS, the snippets and what she said about R8 during these interviews, I can already say that I'm really proud of Rihanna. More than ever. She's already released 7 albums and she's only 27. At such a young age she's already talking about making timeless songs and she's not afraid to put out risky songs after a 2 year hiatus. I mean, as a mainstream artist & the biggest pop star, making a "comeback" with a song like FourFiveSeconds was a big move. That's how fearless and confident she is. On top of that she collaborated with Paul McCartney on that song but some of y'all probably don't even know who he is judging by how y'all are getting mad over Rihanna talking about "real music".
Also, her last album came out 2 years and 4 months ago now, but unlike most artists who don't release any albums for 2/3 years, she didn't take a break. Not even a month off. She's always recording new music and when she's not in the studio, she's working on other projects aside from music. That's how she keeps breaking records.
Te Amo could've been indeed one of her most successful songs. If it didn't leak a year before, was hyped up and had a good video, it would've SLAYED. It's one of her best songs anyways
I've been stanning since 2008 but since last year I feel like I'm starting to feel less and less excited about her and her music.
The Rated R era was my peak as a Rihanna fan but Talk That Talk disappointed me so much even Unapologetic couldn't recover the disappointment.
But everytime I listen to GGGB or Rated R, I become the stan I once was again. I listened to these albums so much Damn.
I'm confused about the direction she's taking but this is actually quite exciting. She seems passionate about it.
For me, it's not about her music that keeps me stanning that's why i am still here after wait your turn or ffs. It's about my LOVE for Rih that I could not see myself without her even if she releases songs that I hate so much or songs that took me time to like or love like ffs.
