A lot of these artists operate on "fake it till you make it". Meaning cater to the public and what they expect of you as a "pop star". It's only later once they see that chart hits are just chart hits and nothing more that they feel the courage to take back the reigns musically.

I understand people change and they can get sick of performing the same songs everywhere but it's just so weird how practically every popstar has made the same remarks. And it's usually when the hits are starting to fade too which makes it even more suspicious.
Rihanna out of all people having the nerve to diss her songs? Songs she didn't create and would be nothing without?I wonder how the producers and writers feel. It's like people who constantly diss their ex's.
