Yeah I think she ended up recording it but after finding out 4 Rihanna songs would make HOME soundtrack a full Rihanna EP they changed versions. The one being used in the film/ soundtrack is likely just the demo or instrumental that Jacob did by himself.
I don't think they would switch the song in the movie for that reason. Maybe on the soundtrack, sure, but why not leave it in the movie? Besides, taking her name off the credits solves that problem.
My guess is that the part of the song being used in the movie is just the instrumental, but the full version with vocals is on the soundtrack. Anyway, all will become clear in a week when the soundtrack is released.

Looking at the floppage of TTS and FTL I think nothing can make the soundtrack successful and looking at TTS release being cancelled...
Hopefully the videos for those songs come out as soon as the soundtrack is dropped & help.
FFS should just reach 100M by then also.
