Jennifer Lopez has gushed over being able to sing with Meryl Streep at the Oscars last month.

The 45-year-old actor-and-singer sat next to the 65-year-old actress at the 87th Academy Awards last month.

And when Lady Gaga graced the stage with a stunning Sound of Music medley performance, the women had a ball in the audience together.

“We sang when the Sound of Music thing was going on, before Lady Gaga came out. They ran the movie a little bit, and I started singing and she started harmonising with me and I was like ‘Oh My God!’… I should have recorded that. I missed a moment!” Jennifer gushed to Extra.

Meryl has been the recipient of 19 Academy Award nominations throughout her career - the most nods received in history.

And Jennifer was in awe over having the opportunity to sit next to her acting idols at this year’s ceremony.

“It was so fun. It was like a dream for me. I was like, ‘I’m in the front row at the Oscars, and here’s Meryl Streep, and there’s Julianne Moore!’” she gushed.

J. Lo should know better than to let Hollywood constantly use her as the sexy Mamacita jezebel at awards shows. I like that she always keeps a gig but she should have more dignity in her presentation.

A star with her tenure shouldn't appear at every single ceremony unhonored and just for photo ops.

Her dad obviously doesn't love her. Instead of this, she'll apparently be in talks to headline a 15 minute Superbowl dance performance with post-stroke like motor skills.
