Girl fly. I did not pose a "what would you rather" question. I did not say any about rather having sales instead of a high tour gross. What I said was is that if she can attain a 300M gross tour, but it doesn't translate to album sales. It does not click to me.

You're acting like she's a new artist. The woman has 30 years of smash hits under her belt and is one of the most successful women in music history. Of course people are going to want to see those iconic songs performed live. Millions of people grew up listening to her. Whether they enjoy her latest release is another story.

Yes the US promo is huge.
I didn't expect her to sell over 300k or over 250k. I damn sure didn't expect her to sell less than 150k. I know not everyone on her tour is going to be here for her new music. But when you are selling Pop music, you must have enough young fans who would be willing to buy your new gen stuff along with your oldies. I'm not exactly talking out my ass here since it is way cheaper to buy a Madonna album than a Madonna tour ticket.
Here is something to consider from 1995. Admittedly, "Secret" reached #3, so it was also a sizable hit. But remember, "Take A Bow," one of Madonna's biggest hits ever, was the second release off of her Bedtime Stories CD, not her first, and the CD picked up dramatically in sales once Madonna and Babyface performed "Take A Bow" at the Grammy's and the song soared to Number One on the Hot 100 for seven weeks, after apparently peaking at #4.

Yet when monsters said that to explain why Tony's previous album was bigger in 2011 with 19 featured artists including the last recorded song by Amy Winehouse than C2C you Madonna stans said it was a lame excuse and that the fans of the featured artists wouldn't buy a whole album for 1 song featuring their fave.
