21m and 25m adjusted to the sales climates in 2011 and 2014 would still be respectively bigger than 6m and <2m. Single sales were the pits then but she still got 10 worldwide hits with those 2 albums compared to 3 worldwide hits (1 of them questionable) with BTW and ARTPOP.

People don't give the public enough credit. The public knows when something is being forced, they know when something is or isn't worth investing in. This entire era has been nothing but Madonna saying stupid **** and trying to be something she's not, and people took notice. But beside those who took notice and decided not to buy, Madonna just isn't on most people's minds despite how hard she's been pushing. It's a shame because she's actually working for it and getting no response but maybe if Madonna tried to showcase her talent as opposed to the same, tired "controversy", people would be more inclined to invest.

Apparently being in the industry for 30 years means she's immune to criticism but that didn't stop the Rebel Hearters from guaranteeing Madonna would slay prior to the album being released.

TFM is closer to an album than an EP considering it had a different image, 3 singles and a seperate tour not to mention it had 8 new songs which is more than almost every EP.

I don't get your point. Even if Madge was indeed more successful it's not such a huge difference when adjusted for the sales climate. And her 3rd tour grossed ~60m dollars (110m when adjusted for inflation) while Gaga's 3rd tour grossed 180+m.

TFM was sold packaged with the fame as a re-release in a lot of countries (including here in the UK) so it is by no means a studio album whatsoever.

You should always adjust for inflation when comparing tours, or else you'd have to convert gaga's gross to 1990 dollars to compare which would be mundane. Different financial climates but an easy conversion nonetheless.

BTWB = $186.19m from 98 shows
BA = $108.31 million from 57 shows, as well as far more impact and acclaim

The Girlie Show was also much more successful than the ARTPOP ball

We're comparing US sales and it was standalone in the US. I already explained why I consider it closer to an album. Dunno many EPs with a completely different aesthetic than the album and a seperate tour but oh well.

I did adjust for inflation hence the parenthesis. And you just proved my point. 57 shows 110m 98 shows 186m. Add 40 shows to Madge with her per show average and it's mostly the same.

ARTPOP ball was successful when considering that the album sold around 2m. Obviously not when compared to any Madonna tour.

Why does Gaga have to live up to Madonna's insanely high standards anyway? Madonna is the Queen of Pop, obiously her receipts are more impressive.
