Like GypsyLife already explained, the spacecraft that was supposed to be launched ended up in some tragic accident. Lord knows what could've happened to Gaga

I've been listening to live performances from her recently so much, Paparazzi at the VMAs, acoustic Eh Eh, the Oscars, Gimme Shelter, Do What U Want at the AMAs/Voice. So many good ideas and vocal performances

That's one thing I'm worried about with LG5. I don't want every performance to be stripped back like the music (if that realy is the way she goes), I want her to create interesting concepts and ideas but I don't know if she'd achieve that with a more organic, relatable campaign. I don't know, I'm sure she'll do just fine.

Oh there's no way it won't be. She'll definitely be doing most of the promo, I have a feeling she'll be really proud and excited for this and she'll want it to do well. Imagine her with all/a few of her co-stars on SNL or something.

I agree. Gaga is going to be very keen for this to do as well as possible. I don't think she would have done it if she wasn't a fan of the show already (I mean, look at how she treated the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills because she loved them), and I think it'll be a passion for her.

I can see it. Yeah Tumblr will really embrace her, more than they ever have. As will a lot of people that stan for TV shows in general. It's such a smart move and yeah I agree, her getting the most out of this opportunity and appearing at all this different event is the best move imo.

I also see her pulling a Marina, getting the album done by August/September, as well as planning the era, and then using the rest of the year for AHS promo. She can come back around the time of the finale and use appearances then to promote the new single also - hell, she may as well put it in the finale while she's at it.

I imagine she would be contractually required to promote AHS. They hired her for her starpower, and to justify the inevitably high price tag (I wonder how much? ) they'll want her to use it.


I'm so impressed with how they're marketing her brand right now.

C2C showcased her chameleon musical talent when it was being questioned, introduced her to an older crowd and diffused a lot of the animosity toward her. As did the Oscar performance, which also showcased yet another side of her talent and presented it to the acting and theatrical industries for future development. Leading a popular TV show with the slightly alternative, younger crowd is opening her up to a new audience and inviting those who left her (because she lost her cool "edge") to return. Singing with Paul McCartney for a Pixar movie could potentially open her up to two further demographics depending on the success of it.

And what's brilliant about all of this is that it's not even her album. It's all building up her profile so they can just top up the promotion and drop new music. They're doing so much leg work and I expect there's a lot more to come because it's early days. They will probably get her facing a major US brand campaign if nothing else.

I mean, if we look at the demographics she's hitting in 2015 alone:

- Children (like 6-13 I guess) will appreciate the supposed soundtrack song she's doing for this 'Inside Out' film, which is being overseen by Paul McCartney. The lower end of the age bracket probably don't even understand who she is but the older end probably do and are confused by her. This should get them on her side.

- 13-30ish year old minority/underdogs love her mostly anyway, and the superficial ones love her again now she's slaying. The more 'mainstream' people in this age bracket will then appreciate her more now due to her new image/looks (as a whole), and especially because of AHS. I know how much I've been asked about it already - everyone knows I'm a stan - shows the interest in it.

- 30-45 year olds will definitely have appreciated the Oscars performance, and some Cheek to Cheek I'm sure. A few may watch AHS also, and I know a lot of my friends parents actually really like Gaga. They will also be excited by her engagement, since a lot of people, particularly women, in this age bracket take a notice of these sorts of things when it comes to celebrities.

- 45+ will appreciate Cheek to Cheek and her toned down looks, as well as her interviews and new attitudes to life in them. I didn't explain that very well but I'm sure y'all know what I mean. Just the way she speaks and composes herself is very mature.

She's got pretty much everyone covered, some more than others of course, but she should fare pretty well this year and start the new era in pretty good footing (barring any unfortunate press or leaks of inappropriate material coughDWUWcough).

I still think she got confused by the fans reactions to Aura. I definitely remember saying the vocals needed cleaning up, but I never meant the verses. I meant the intro. It would be so much better with clear vocals. I know I remember reading somewhere that she meant it to sound like it was coming through a telephone but it's not clear enough that that was the intention so it just sounds a bit messy It slays live though.
