Do What U Want is that power bop when warming up/cooling down/taking it slow and Applause is perfect for that extra 3 and a half minutes at the end. Swine is amazing too.

Honestly, as much as I adore Brooklyn Nights, with those lyrics (especially that second verse) I don't think it would smash. The chorus and bridge is fine imo, just the right hint of relatability vs. personal retrospection, but the verses are pretty bad. Change them and we have a certified smash ready to send to radio for LG5.

Same happened at my artRAVE Giorgoc, the girl in front of me got brought onstage for Born This Way and had her letter read out, she was a recovering cancer survivor though so I wasn't too salty in the end though. She was really sweet and definitely deserved it way more than I did.

Absolutely, it's my most played song from the album too. Everything about the Applause era was brilliant from the music video to the VMA performance. It was the only single from AP that was handled well and stayed in the Top 10 for 3 months as well

It's my third most played I think (behind DWUW and SD) and I totally agree, everything was done perfectly and anyone that complains about it just doesn't like the concept, rather than hating the way they were delivered. I still can't believe how long it lasted in the top 10 and how well received it was.
