Not necessarily. While the movies may have done decent its public knowledge that Dreamworks is in a huge financial slump. Like in debut to the point they had to do layoffs.
They're still trying to "dig themselves out of the hole" in a way…. (thats why HOME is the only animated film being released for them this year)
So I think critics are biased by either anticipating Dreamworks downfall or a triumphant return w a smash movie a la Frozen.
