The straight white male demographic and the straight white soccer mom/Twilight mom demographic actually
buy merchandise. The gays and blacks don't buy anything. That's why "50 Shades of Grey" has already surpassed 500 million, that's why the Super Bowl is one of the most-watched events in television, and that's why an outdated band like The Eagles can still debut with first-week sales of 1 million+. Straight whites will always be the superior demographic (preferably the male 18 - 35 demo) because they pay for goods. The only thing the gays buy are tank tops, ATRL+, and a couple iTunes singles a year, and the only thing the blacks buy are rap albums and Madea tickets. And you wonder why companies don't bother catering to either of them; they're just not a profitable demo. Don't shoot the messenger, kids.
