The song was just slowed down the music was cut out and then the whole thing was turned in to some acoustic thing, if that's what you mean. I think the creator got a hold of the recording sessions and made it with them but i dunno. I don't analyse any music from that awful album or do you mean is it Britney? parts yes, parts no (from what i recall, again i haven't listened in a while)

i think circus is the only album after her breakdown that we can certainly tell that she's singing.

Just because something attempts to pay homage doesn't mean anyone is obligated to automatically praise it. I'm sure Body Ache was trying to draw from when she did good EDM/dance music with sexy vocals and come-ons, but doesn't mean it's a good song.

The great tracks on Circus are GRAND. Circus/Amy embody what prime Britney music was. Top tier pop music those songs. So I can agree there it was drawing from her best days and matched up/surpassed some. But I won't be in the group of not-"true" stans, by your book, because I won't acknowledge Out From Under/Shattered Glass/My Baby as any thing other than trash.

I re-evaluate Circus all the time, though. Some seasons it's mediocre, others it's not so bad. It's still #7 out of her eight releases.

There's always a LOT of Femme Fatale hate. Yes, it's a by-the-standards pop album by definition but it still possessed Britney, imo. No one else would make Till the World Ends work, that's why Kesha (one of the main people everyone said could do that song) sounded like a pile of horse feces on the remix. Britney only one make that song, sing it sexy/horny, etc. and make it dance anthem for kids at the same time. Likewise HIAM was forward-thinking pop music, beyond just the dubstep breakdown. That was more of a production thing, but they did it for Britney cause they know her power. No one else would have been taken seriously doing that kind of style/song, that's why all the dubstep breakdowns that followed HIAM were flaccid-inducing. It wasn't until will.i.am that producers weren't trying to give Brit their BEST work, which Doctor Luke hadn't done anything better before or after.

Inside Out is fire, How I Roll is Quirkney at her best - it didn't get critical acclaim for nothing. Trouble For Me, Gasoline are just Britney on fire. And Criminal is her best corny-pop ballad when you hear Out From Under and Perfume.

The only questionable tracks are DDB, SIWAK, BFB and Trip (which is still sort of the Euro cousin of Unusual You). BFB would've been a hit though cause the production is hot, the song is stupid and those are the ingredients of most hits in 2011 and especially hits by William. See Scream & Shout.
