That sounds so familiar we've had many arguments with various family members over the guest list. People are like 'ugh if you're so cheap I'll pay for my partner then' and you just shake your head. It's not about the money, it's about space. We literally don't have room for everyone the groom is South African so apart from his immediate family, the rest of his relatives live back in SA and when invited, they had the audacity to say we have to pay for them to fly out for the wedding I've had to book all their flights, all the accommodation, transport etc and they STILL have the nerve to say, oh that turn around time is a little tight. There's just NO pleasing some
Ouch . I could never do all that for guests abroad. I'd tell them that if they want to come, then come. If not then that's more space for local guests .
