I'm so intrigued about where she wants to take her career.
Before February, it was all about what sound she's going for next...and now it's so much more. Her TSOM tribute was a clear "Here's what I can do, Hollywood" meets "Hello Broadway, I could do musicals" meets "Don't you dare write me off, pop music" moment. A moment of clarity over her talent.
With AHS, she's venturing into legit acting through a campy platform and I reckon it'll be a good crash course in acting for her. Somewhere she can be freaky and over the top, but also really explore a character and be surrounded by talented leading ladies.
Then in addition to that, she's got soundtrack songs, the jazz follow up and obviously her actual pop career with the new album.
If she tops it off with starring in a film like GYPSY with Barbra Streisand or even something huge like the WICKED movie, she could really level up majorly in the coming 2 years. I could see her managing something like Cher did with her acting side career - a couple of legit roles that gain her respect. Later she could merge those skills and her musical talent in a theatrical career, eventually culminating in creating a musical.
She's really going for a genuinely multifaceted career. And not in a "Oh I have a perfume and do the odd crap movie" way. It's very smart to gun for that too, because it moves her out from the Madonna path that we've already walked down and people expected her to follow. The parallels are still there because Madonna has done nearly everything, but it allows her to breath and establish her own legacy out of anyone's shadows. The New Queen of Pop isn't the title she wants.

So we can add (an) Oscar(s) and Tonys for her to become an EGOT in her 30s.
