I can name multiple Hozier songs but did Gotee even have anything else besides the song with Kimbored? Does he have a discography? Didn't Call Me Maybe sell more? Wow. Late night questions.
You can, but Hozier's only known song to the public is "Take Me To Church." Gotye at least got a pair of Grammys from the song (+ another Grammy for his album) and had the #1 song of 2012. Hozier isn't quite doing it.

Hozier also didn't release an uptempo dance dubstep-infused remix to radio to help sell his song. He also didn't randomly attach a female vocalist. He also effectively and stylistically included social commentary in his video.
I guess Gotee did have that cute "artsy" music video. STIUTK its Grammies were not undeserved.

I just posted a radio mix of TMTC, though. And who cares? They're both one hit wonders, but Hozier really got nothing out of it except a #2 peak.
