Can someone give me the cliffnotes version on what American Horror Story is about?
Please don't tell me it's anything like Glee
Basically each season documents the life of all the characters within a certain setting (murder house, asylum, etc) and every few minutes there's an extravagant musical number that's loosely connected to the events of the episode
I know everyone wants GaGa to sing on American Horror Story but I do hope they keep it to a minimum. The only time it really worked last season was when they covered Gods & Monsters. The Name Game being the only other time it worked and that was a just a crazy mess because Asylum was a crazy mess that somehow worked.

I expect Gaga to rush around doing her Operatic Government Hooker-style segway from this performance (4:50-5:20)
(then BAM right into Born This Way as she murders the guests who are homophobes at her hotel)
They only way I could see a singing section work on Hotel is if they have someone sing to the guests, but I want it to be scary this season
It's probably going to get cancelled sometime soon in the next two-four seasons since Lange is gone .. might as well go back to its roots and drop some of the camp and play up the horror once again!

Same, I could do without singing on this show. Name Game was amusing at the time (and it was solely done because it was Jessica Lange's dream to do a musical number since she'd never done one before), but I'm not here for that being a regular occurrence like it was in Freakshow. I will be annoyed if Ryan Murphy makes her sing. It'd be far more refreshing to see her completely inhabit a new non Gaga-esque character.
