To be perfectly fair, none of us have seen her truly act. She's had two film roles that basically amount to cameo roles, and her music videos aren't really a measure of her acting ability.
No matter her starpower, Ryan and the producers wouldn't hire her unless she met at least some benchmark for acting skill.
Also, there are several months before it starts. She rehearsed for months for the Oscars, and I'm sure she'll take this just as seriously and hire an acting coach. Gaga (to our knowledge) doesn't have new music coming this year, so she has more than enough time.
Assuming a good amount of the main cast left already, I don't have to really check on the other seasons to catch up with anything. 
I'm so excited to see how this turns out.
Sin City was probably just one minute and Machete Kills was maybe less than three.
