I was looking for some of the choices how can someone pick a Snorlax? Well they are strong but if you catch one as lazy as Ash's you're done.

Chikorita is not that bad! I remember I started my game with it, I didnt want it evolve xD, because it was so cute LOL

Snorlax's stats are amazing! it has a lot of HP (504), Attack (382) and Sp. Def (350).
My moveset for Snorlax:
-Body Slam (May cause paralysis)
-Curse (Increase the attack and defense but lowers its speed)
-Eartquake (Powerful against rock/steel/fire types)
-Brick Break/Crunch
